OHTCC was officially born — registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and opened its first temple, giving the Hindu community of Olympia a sacred home.

- Established governance, bylaws and committees

Securing sacred ground — finding and purchasing the permanent land in greater Olympia that will one day hold our dream temple.
- Identify suitable land parcels (3–5 acres) near Olympia

- Conduct soil, zoning and environmental assessments
- Purchase land and complete title transfer to OHTCC
- Perform Bhoomi Puja — sacred ground-blessing ceremony

Uniting the community around a shared temple vision and launching the major fundraising drive that will make construction possible.

Translating the community's dream into sacred blueprints — guided by Vastu Shastra and Agama Shastra principles and traditional Sthapati architects.

- Finalize Nagara or Dravidian style by community preference
- Submit designs for Thurston County and city permits

Breaking ground and watching the temple rise from the sacred earth — from foundation stone to soaring Shikhara, built with devotion to last for centuries.
- Perform Shilanyas — Vedic foundation-laying ceremony
- Complete Adhishthana foundation platform and structural frame
- Engage traditional shilpis for stone carvings and deity sculptures
- Build Garbhagriha, Antarala, Mandapa and Gopura
- Install deity murtis and ritual infrastructure
- Complete all interior and exterior finishings
