Incorporation & Temple Opening

OHTCC was officially born — registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and opened its first temple, giving the Hindu community of Olympia a sacred home.

  • Registered OHTCC as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — EIN: 84-4484205
  • Opened temple on August 29, 2024 in Olympia, WA
  • Established governance, bylaws and committees
  • Commenced regular poojas, festivals and Seva programs

Permanent Spiritual Leadership

Bringing dedicated full-time spiritual leadership to the community — a permanent priest to guide daily worship, rituals, and the spiritual life of OHTCC.

  • Hire full-time permanent priest by 2027
  • Establish comprehensive daily pooja and festival schedule
  • Launch priest sponsorship program for community funding
  • Grow membership to 300+ households to sustain operations

Design, Vastu & Permits

Translating the community's dream into sacred blueprints — guided by Vastu Shastra and Agama Shastra principles and traditional Sthapati architects.

  • Engage a certified Sthapati — traditional temple architect
  • Complete Vastu Shastra and Agama Shastra-compliant design
  • Finalize Nagara or Dravidian style by community preference
  • Submit designs for Thurston County and city permits

  • Build Garbhagriha, Antarala, Mandapa and Gopura
  • Install deity murtis and ritual infrastructure
  • Complete all interior and exterior finishings
2034 · Grand Culmination ★ Consecration

Kumbhabhishekam — Temple Consecration

The sacred culmination of a decade of devotion, sacrifice, and unwavering community spirit. Our permanent temple opens its doors — a gift to all generations to come.

  • Complete all construction and consecration preparations
  • Perform Kumbhabhishekam — grand temple consecration
  • Formally install primary deity in the Garbhagriha
  • Inaugurate cultural center, classrooms and community hall
  • Open temple to the public with grand Mahotsavam celebrations
  • Establish endowment fund for perpetual temple maintenance
