Why do we need a temple in the Olympia area?

Hinduism is not a religion it’s a way of life! It’s one of the proven paths towards self-realization!!

Man in his eternal quest to find the purpose of life has worshiped the almighty in many shapes and forms. For time immemorial temple have been a significant place of worship for humanity. Temples have been the anchor points for communities. It is a place to pray, seek inner guidance, and cultivate bhakti to grow together on the path of self-realization.

While each individual Hindu home has a small shrine to worship and practice the faith, the Hindu temple symbolizes the core of the community – similar to the hub in a wheel. The temple helps the community to grow stronger together while creating a conducive environment, which enriches the expression of life in the most significant way that radiates peace and harmony in the community.

The nearest temple for our community is anywhere from 70 to 100 miles, from Olympia, which creates a barrier for members of our community to come together and perform rituals that helps us express the Hindu faith. Hence it is of paramount interest of all the folks from the Indian Sub-Continent to have a faith-based place of worship in the Olympia area.
